Job summary

Securian Financial is seeking a detail-oriented claims professional to develop and administer benefit and claims policies. You will investigate, record, and analyze data to determine claim outcomes while communicating findings to customers, home office staff, and third parties.

Responsibilities include processing settlements, coordinating documentation, and explaining regulatory impacts. A strong focus on customer service, accuracy, and teamwork will be essential to success.

Qualifications

• Experience handling benefits and claims processes.
• Strong communication skills for customer and internal interactions.
• Ability to interpret rules and communicate implications clearly.

Responsibilities

• Process claims settlements.
• Correspond with beneficiaries regarding options and required documentation.
• Understand impact of IRS/federal/state regulations on claims processing and communicate implications.
• Process the requested claim option per contract provisions and regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to beneficiaries, clients, and advisors.
• Answer backup claims line, respond to emails, and manage written correspondence.
• Understand and articulate the claims process, available options, required documentation, and special circumstances.
