Job summary

Latham & Watkins is seeking a Business Development Advisor – New Business to join the BD team in New York or Chicago. You will develop and deliver high-quality proposal documents, create win themes, and coordinate input from subject matter experts to support RFP responses and client presentations.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years of experience leading strategic initiatives with credentials, proposals, tenders, or other written sales tools.
• Minimum eight years of related work experience in legal, financial services, or professional services environments.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct information gathering sessions with BD teams and partners to clarify requirements, client needs, and approach.
• Lead kick-off meetings to establish messaging, milestones, and core team.
• Collaborate with BD teams, lawyers, and firm resources to gather and compile credentials statements, pitches, and RFP responses.
• Analyze pitch documents to identify compliance requirements, instructions, and evaluation criteria.
• Coordinate with finance, pricing, compliance, IOC, and GCO to share relevant information.
• Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, or proprietary information.
