Job summary

General Motors LLC seeks a Battery Systems Lab Project Coordinator to lead cross-functional lab operations, plan tests, and ensure timely DUT completion. You will coordinate with stakeholders to align with program objectives and maintain regulatory compliance.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree and two years of HV battery testing and CTMS experience; you will monitor MAQ, manage calibration, and support continuous improvement across BEV3 programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Two years of experience as a Battery Systems Lab Project Coordinator or related occupation.
• Experience in high voltage battery testing, environmental regulatory requirements, ISO 17025 implementation, and flammability limits documentation, tracking, and compliance activities.
• CTMS to create, track, and maintain accurate test requests, DUT records, and chemistry approvals.
• Execute and improve incoming and outgoing quality controls, including inspection of DUTs and feedback into corrective action and continuous improvement processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional lab operations and test planning.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to secure timely, high-quality lab test requests.
• Monitor MAQ and regulatory compliance for safety and permits.
• Track Device Under Test (DUT) shipments, test readiness, and demand forecasting.
• Provide shipping and logistics support for the lab and ensure on-time movement of DUTs.
• Perform and document Method 9 observations for environmental compliance and traceability.
• Oversee calibration schedules for lab equipment and audit for traceability.
• Lead BPD activities, including Method 9 traceability and cost tracking for BEV3 programs.
• Audit DUT cards and Quality Gates to improve data integrity and process improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement through TIP and PFMEA and cross-team collaboration.
