Job summary

Piper Companies seeks an Azure Security Engineer to advance a cloud-first security program. You will secure enterprise Azure environments, implement security controls, and drive compliance while partnering with infra, cloud, and application teams.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining security controls, incident response using Microsoft tools, and governance across Azure workloads, IAM, and multi-cloud contexts. Hybrid work option offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of information security experience with at least 2 years focused on Azure cloud security.
• Proficient with Azure security services including Defender for Cloud and Sentinel.
• Knowledge of IAM, Zero Trust, and cloud governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across Azure cloud environments.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents using Microsoft Sentinel and Defender.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability management, and remediation activities.
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to secure workloads and infra.
• Implement IAM solutions using Azure AD and PIM.
• Support regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS.
• Automate security processes and reporting through scripting and IaC.
