Job summary

Network Cabling Services, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (AV) to support the Project Manager and field teams in planning, scheduling, and delivering AV projects.

The hybrid role blends field operations with coordination to ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The position assists with scheduling, material coordination, site readiness, and closeout activities, while acting as a communication link among management, customers, and field personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in construction, telecommunications, industrial, or related field environments preferred.
• Prior experience in project coordination or field leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent NCS with professionalism, integrity, accountability, and strong customer service.
• Assist in scheduling field personnel and resources to meet project timelines and customer requirements.
• Monitor and adjust project schedules based on changing operational needs.
• Support material planning and prepare material requisitions based on project requirements and bill of materials.
• Coordinate project tasks with material availability to maintain schedule alignment.
• Monitor inventory levels to support project execution.
• Assist with project documentation, including as-built drawings and closeout packages.
• Coordinate project closeout documentation and customer sign-offs with project administration.
• Evaluate site readiness and support pre-installation planning activities.
• Coordinate site access, badging, and personnel readiness requirements.
• Ensure required testing equipment and specialized tools are available to support project schedules.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure work meets NCS and customer expectations.
• Perform fieldwork and assist with project execution as needed.
• Support onboarding, coaching, and on-the-job training (OJT) for field personnel and new hires.
• Provide daily project updates and communicate progress, risks, and concerns.
• Attend customer meetings, site walks, and coordination meetings as required.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
