Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Embedded Software Engineer in Paarl, Western Cape, to design and develop software powering in-vehicle ECUs. You will write efficient C/C++ code, collaborate with hardware engineers, and work across the full development lifecycle in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of embedded software development experience in automotive.
• Strong C and C++ programming skills.
• Experience with microcontrollers and embedded development tools.
• Familiarity with CAN/LIN and RTOS.
• Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for automotive ECUs.
• Write efficient, well-documented, and high-quality code in C/C++.
