Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Rock Hill, SC seeks a Project Application Engineer to design and deliver customized industrial solutions from concept to execution. You will own projects, work with Sales, Engineering and Service teams, and translate RFQs into tailored assembly and automation solutions.

You’ll develop technical and commercial proposals, manage projects from order through installation, and collaborate across automotive and aerospace industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or higher.
• 3+ years in manufacturing or project engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and communication across teams.
• PLC and Fieldbus programming knowledge.
• CAD proficiency, preferably Creo.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Basic financial acumen for project costing/pricing.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver customized industrial solutions from concept to execution.
• Translate customer RFQs into customized assembly and automation solutions.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals including costs and risks.
• Manage projects from order through installation, commissioning, testing and acceptance.
• Coordinate with Sales, Service, Engineering, suppliers and customers.
• Support design and manufacturing of electromechanical, tooling and automation solutions.
