Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking an Auto PD Adjuster - Service Claims to manage a caseload of moderately complex auto claims from intake to resolution. You will conduct investigations, assess liability and damages, and negotiate settlements within policy terms and jurisdictional requirements.

This full-time, exempt role offers a hybrid work schedule with two in-office days at a Hanover office. You will collaborate with underwriting, legal, and stakeholders, maintain licenses, and mentor

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3–4 years of Auto claim-handling experience.
• Guidewire experience is a plus; strong computer/navigation skills with MS Office.
• Knowledge of insurance products, processes, and applicable laws.
• Ability to negotiate independently within authority.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of moderately complex service claims from intake through resolution.
• Conduct investigations, assess liability and evaluate damages using established procedures.
• Engage underwriting, legal, and stakeholders for thorough evaluation.
• Identify suspicious claims and refer to Special Investigation Unit.
• Set reserves and authorize payments within scope of authority.
• Maintain documentation of claim activities and communications.
