Job summary

Koniag Advisory and Business Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, seeks an Atlassian Lead Platform Engineer to oversee the configuration, integration, governance, and sustainment of Atlassian capabilities for a government customer in Washington, DC.

This hybrid role requires 1 day onsite and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, supporting Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 7+ years administering, engineering, integrating, or sustaining enterprise collaboration or ALM platforms.
• 4+ years hands-on experience with Jira/Confluence/Jira Service Management or Atlassian environments.
• Atlassian Certified Professional or comparable certification preferred.
• Experience supporting federal government Agile/DevSecOps or ITSM environments.
• Experience leading Atlassian migrations, consolidations, or governance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Atlassian platform design, configuration, integration, standards, automation, and support across Jira and Confluence.
• Define implementation patterns for projects, workflows, schemes, permissions, and dashboards.
• Guide integration with identity, ServiceNow, reporting, DevSecOps, and data sources.
• Assess platform health, licensing, security posture, and automation opportunities.
• Provide technical direction to Atlassian engineers, admins, product owners, and Scrum Masters.
• Support migration, cleanup, governance, and change control activities for Atlassian environments.
• Develop platform documentation, runbooks, and release/change management guidance.
