Job summary

The City of Bellevue Transportation Department is seeking an Associate Transportation Planner who brings self-motivation and teamwork to advance Bellevue's multi-modal mobility vision. You will support policy, planning, and code development for citywide and corridor projects, collaborating with the Transportation Commission and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include developing plans, coordinating with partner agencies, and preparing clear policy recommendations.

Qualifications

• Experience with transportation planning principles and practices in a municipal setting.
• Experience preparing staff recommendations, public vetting and adoption processes.
• Ability to analyze data and develop policy and code recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-range transportation plans and corridor studies.
• Develop and update transportation codes and pedestrian/bicycle network plans.
• Engage businesses, residents and stakeholders through open houses and surveys.
• Support Transportation Commission with agendas and meeting logistics.
• Communicate complex planning policies in clear, non-technical language.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to align with city vision.
