Job summary

Solutus Legal Search is assisting a fast-growing AI networking infrastructure company in finding an Associate General Counsel to lead its commercial legal function in Silicon Valley. The AGC will negotiate complex agreements, partner with senior leaders, and shape the contracting infrastructure as the company scales.

The role requires strong business judgment, experience in technology transactions, and the ability to translate legal risk into practical business guidance.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of relevant legal experience in commercial/tech transactions.
• In-house experience at a technology company preferred, high-growth environment ideal.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s commercial legal function and own key transactions from structuring to close.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate sophisticated customer, supplier, license, and partnership agreements.
• Advise on IP ownership, confidentiality, indemnification, liability limits, privacy, security, and regulatory issues in tech transactions.
• Build scalable contracting processes, templates, playbooks, and risk frameworks for speed and consistency.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and executives to align legal strategy with business objectives.
