The Segal Group in New York is seeking an Associate Benefits Consultant to support health and welfare engagements for clients, translating analyses into practical recommendations. This hybrid role connects you with clients across multiple locations and mentors junior staff while strengthening expertise in plan design and funding arrangements.

You'll own defined workstreams, collaborate with client teams, and contribute to business development initiatives, with salary range $84,000 to $105,000

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in benefits consulting or related environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative or business; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience designing or implementing health and welfare benefits programs.
• Strong analytical judgement with attention to data quality and assumptions.
• Excellent communication with clients, carriers, vendors and internal staff.

Responsibilities

• Analyze claims experience, cost trends, financial performance, budget projections and plan design alternatives.
• Prepare reports, memoranda and presentations translating analyses into conclusions and next steps.
• Serve as a technical/secondary consultant on assignments coordinating with carriers and internal specialists.
• Manage defined projects/workstreams including scope, budget, milestones, and quality review.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide timely developmental feedback.
• Contribute to proposals and expansion opportunities with existing clients.
