The Segal Company (Eastern States), Inc. seeks a Health Benefits Analyst (Administrative) to support complex financial and health plan analyses for a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, or related analytical discipline.
• Up to 3 years of experience in benefits analysis, underwriting, actuarial work, or another analytical field is preferred.
• Strong quantitative skills and ability to work accurately with complex data and financial models.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting analyses clearly.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing health plan data, including claims experience, utilization, and cost trends.
• Developing financial projections, budget models, renewal analyses, and plan design cost estimates.
• Developing age-adjusted health claim cost assumptions and projections for retiree valuations.
• Supporting vendor procurements by developing bid specs and reviewing proposals.
• Preparing recurring financial reports and client deliverables with clear documentation.
• Coordinating with client teams and external partners; communicating risks and timing concerns.
