Job summary

The Segal Company (Eastern States), Inc. is seeking a versatile Associate Consultant to support health and welfare engagements across benefits evaluation, design, and cost-management. You will analyze claims experience, cost trends, and plan design options while coordinating with clients and carriers.

You will own defined workstreams, deliver client-ready analyses, and mentor junior teammates as you contribute to health consulting initiatives and business development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Independent owner of assigned analyses and workstreams.
• Experience preparing reports and presentations for clients.
• Ability to coach junior analysts and coordinate with carriers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Analyze claims experience, cost trends, financial performance, budget projections, renewals and plan design alternatives.
• Prepare reports, memoranda, and presentations translating analyses into conclusions and recommendations.
• Act as a technical or secondary consultant on assignments, coordinating with carriers, vendors, and internal specialists.
• Manage defined projects or workstreams, including scope, work plan, budget, milestones, and quality review.
• Review junior analysts' work for accuracy and provide coaching and feedback.
• Contribute to practice development, quality improvement, and business development initiatives.
