Segal’s East Region is seeking a hands-on Health Consultant to support a broad range of health and welfare engagements for public sector, multiemployer, and corporate clients. The role emphasizes client interaction, project leadership, and mentoring junior colleagues as you build subject matter expertise.

You will work with cross-functional teams, deliver practical advice, and help drive complex issues to resolution, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and ownership.

Formación

• At least 6 years of relevant health benefits, actuarial, managed care, underwriting or consulting experience.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including interpretation of claims and financial data.
• Working knowledge of health and welfare benefit programs and funding arrangements.
• Experience with vendor procurements including proposal evaluation is preferred.
• Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and ability to work independently on multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel capabilities.
• Experience coaching or mentoring junior staff is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead defined components of vendor procurements for medical, pharmacy, dental, vision and other programs.
• Analyze claims, utilization, cost and plan design data and translate findings for clients.
• Manage multiple projects with planning, budgeting, and quality reviews.
• Support pricing of benefit changes, budgeting and renewal analyses.
• Prepare client-ready reports and presentations with clear recommendations.
• Coordinate with clients, carriers, vendors and internal specialists for issue resolution.
• Review and mentor junior consultants and analysts, providing feedback.
• Contribute to thought leadership and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with business development, including proposals and client meetings.
