Job summary

Lydecker LLP in Houston or Dallas, TX, is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of civil defense litigation experience. Newly Texas-barred attorneys welcomed.

Hybrid position based in Houston or Dallas, with defense litigation exposure in construction defect and general liability. Under supervision of a partner, you will handle multiple cases, draft legal documents, attend depositions, and participate in mediations and trials as needed.

Qualifications

• TX bar license in good standing required.
• JD from ABA-approved law school is required.
• Minimum 2 years of civil defense litigation experience; construction defect or general liability preferred.
• Experience handling multiple cases, depositions, and court appearances.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to work independently and with clients.

Responsibilities

• Billable work and client service duties as assigned.
• Draft/review petitions, motions, and written discovery.
• Attend hearings and meetings with clients upon request.
• Prepare for and attend depositions; assist with mediations and trials.
