Job summary

J. F. Ahern Co. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to learn mechanical and plumbing estimating while supporting the Project Management team. You’ll assist with takeoffs, coordinate with vendors and subcontractors, and ensure field crews have resources for efficient installation.

Ideal candidates have 1–3+ years of experience, preferably in mechanical contracting or engineering, with knowledge of estimating software and AutoCAD a plus, and strong communication and detail orientation.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3+ years of experience; internships count.
• Knowledge of estimating software and AutoCAD is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and team-focused.

Responsibilities

• Assist with material takeoffs and mechanical/plumbing estimating.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.
• Support project team to ensure field crews have resources for installation.
