Job summary

The Brooklyn Museum is seeking an Assistant Manager, Individual Giving to support the Contemporary Art Committee (CAC) and Advisors programs, manage donor data in Tessitura, and help drive revenue and donor engagement.

Reporting to the Senior Development Officer, this role leads donor stewardship for the Exhibition Fund and Impact Fund and collaborates with Development, Curatorial, and Special Events teams to ensure coordinated, impact-driven fundraising activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in development, donor relations, or a related field.
• Strong project management and written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and data integrity in donor tracking.
• Collaborative and able to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Tessitura or a similar CRM will be expected.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CAC and Advisors administration, timelines, renewals, and activities aligned with fundraising goals.
• Plan and execute donor events and engagement opportunities in collaboration with colleagues.
• Track donor activity and pipeline progress to support solicitation goals.
• Maintain donor records in Tessitura with accurate interactions and next steps.
• Prepare donor materials such as invitations, proposals, renewals, and briefing documents.
• Oversee donor stewardship for Exhibition Fund and Impact Fund.
