Job summary

AcctPositions is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our client's Finance team, partnering with the Controller to oversee financial reporting, compliance, and complex manufacturing accounting.

The role leads month-end close, standard costing, inventory control, and financial analysis in line with IFRS/US GAAP, with responsibilities spanning cost accounting, budgeting, and cross‑functional cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Active CPA or CMA certification is required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, 2–3 years in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close process, including manufacturing close.
• Prepare reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Oversee cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory control.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and tax engagements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost‑efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain for cost insights.
