Job summary

AcctPositions is seeking an Assistant Controller to partner with the Controller in overseeing financial reporting, compliance, and complex corporate accounting across manufacturing operations.

You will lead month-end close, standard costing, inventory controls, and variance analysis, ensuring IFRS/US GAAP compliance while mentoring accounting staff and driving process improvements across the finance function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience with manufacturing exposure.
• Strong IFRS/US GAAP knowledge and internal controls experience.
• Experience leading close processes, audits, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close, including manufacturing close and cost recording.
• Prepare reconciliations, variances analyses for manufacturing and supply chain.
• Monitor budget-to-actual performance and support action planning.
• Ensure IFRS/US GAAP reporting and compliance with policies.
• Coordinate external and internal audits and tax engagements.
• Mentor accounting staff and drive cross-functional cost efficiency.
