Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Testing Specialist to develop, administer, and validate exams supporting employee selection and promotion.

You will partner with stakeholders across the agency, including business units, Labor, Legal, and the People team, to conduct job analyses and update exams with approval from the Talent Assessment Manager. This role emphasizes collaboration and rigorous testing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in BA/BS in Industrial Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in related areas.
• A master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Preferred courses in tests and measurement, statistics, research, personnel psychology, and computers.

Responsibilities

• Creation of selection and promotion assessments, including written and practical tests.
• Develops procedures and standardized criteria for assessments.
• Administers examinations and coordinates practical exams.
• Analyzes test statistics and validation data; maintains testing records.
• Plans and implements testing strategies with Talent Assessment Senior Manager.
• Ensures exams reflect current job duties and responsibilities.
