Job summary

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. is seeking an Area Coach II to lead frontline supervisors and production teams at our Berea, KY location.

You will oversee daily manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement, and coach across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and other support functions. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 3-5 years of manufacturing leadership experience, with a focus on Lean principles, metrics, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of frontline supervisors and production employees to safely achieve daily production, quality, and delivery goals.
• Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, balancing staffing, resources, and production priorities to meet business objectives and customer commitments.
• Monitor operational performance metrics, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, efficiency, and employee engagement.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and open communication by coaching employees, resolving issues, and promoting collaboration across manufacturing, engineering, quality, materials, and other support functions.
• Ensure employees are properly trained, cross-trained, and qualified to perform their work safely and effectively while supporting workforce development and succession planning.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, operating procedures, and regulatory guidelines to create a safe and productive work environment.
• Lead daily operational meetings, coordinate problem-solving efforts, and implement corrective actions to remove barriers, reduce waste, and improve workflow performance.
