Job summary

Flyover Attractions, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. The role focuses on day-to-day AP/AR, cash activity, and general accounting support across our immersive entertainment venues in the U.S., Canada, and Iceland.

You will partner with the Controller to ensure accurate vendor invoices, customer billings, and reconciliations, while helping drive month-end close improvements in a hybrid in-office setting three days per week in Chicago.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience with AP/AR responsibilities.
• Experience with invoice processing, customer billing, reconciliations, and month-end close support.
• ERP experience; Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable activities, including reviewing and coding invoices, routing approvals, entering invoices, and timely payment processing.
• Maintain vendor records, respond to vendor inquiries, research discrepancies, and resolve payment issues.
• Support Accounts Receivable activities, including customer invoicing, recording payments, monitoring balances, and following up on past-due accounts.
• Reconcile AP and AR subledgers to the general ledger and investigate differences.
• Assist with cash and bank activity, including payment application, deposits, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and post routine journal entries for month-end close.
