Job summary

Ithaka Hospitality Partners, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to support multi-location hospitality operations, including Food Hall, corporate office, and hotel accounting. The role covers AP, AR, payroll, month-end close, and reporting for multiple entities.

Remote work is primary with monthly in-person visits to Auburn, AL; the position reports to the Regional Director of Finance and integrates cross-entity finance functions across Food Hall and corporate offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or related field.
• Minimum five years of hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience with full-cycle AP, AR, and payroll across multiple entities.
• Knowledge of payroll tax, tip reporting, and sales tax compliance.
• Strong Excel and knowledge of Aptech; ADP and Concur experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle AP for all Food Hall and AHP/corporate office entities, including vendor setup and W-9 collection, invoice coding and approval routing, check/ACH payment runs, and monthly vendor statement reconciliation.
• Own full-cycle AR for all Food Hall and AHP/corporate office entities, including billing and invoicing, posting cash receipts and deposits, collections follow-up, and aging review.
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule for all Food Hall and AHP/corporate office employees, including timecard review, tip reporting, new hires and terminations, rate changes, garnishments, and visa compliance as needed.
• Reconcile payroll registers to the general ledger, payroll tax filings, and benefit deductions.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and reconciliation of all sales tax returns.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations for all entities in line with the close calendar.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and supporting schedules for all operations.
• Support hotel accounting tasks as assigned, including AP/AR/payroll and close tasks.
• Upload budgets and forecasts into Aptech and Otelier monthly and annually.
• Manage Concur inquiries and onboarding of new hires on expense reporting.
• Maintain SOPs and support audits with schedules as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality and assist leadership with finance functions.
