Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Reactor Operator Instructor to support AP1000 and operating fleet. You will report to the Operations and Technical Training Manager and be located in southwestern Pennsylvania with a hybrid schedule 2-3 days on-site at the Westinghouse facility in Cranberry Township, PA or Madison, PA.

You will design, develop and implement training sessions, coordinate programs, and maintain essential documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent nuclear certifications.
• Minimum 8 years nuclear experience and reactor operation proficiency.
• Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear plants.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all stages of the SAT process of initial and continuing education programs of their specialty.
• Perform the analysis, design and implementation of initial and training needs in their specialty.
• Design, development and implementation of sessions for licensed and non-licensed operations personnel, including classroom, plant, and the simulator.
• Carry out the analysis, design and implementation of initial and continuous training needs of their specialty.
• Collaborate in the analysis and implementation of corrections in the simulator when any type of malfunction is detected, also collaborating in the tests that are required.
• Coordinate training, providing support to training committees and/or planning training programs.
• Define and collaborate in the development of the supporting documentation required by the assigned activities; as well as in the maintenance and updating of the documentary support already available.
• Define and collaborate in the development of advanced educational means (simulators, multimedia, videos, models...) related to the assigned functions; as well as in the maintenance and updating of those already available.
