Vego Garden is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead a small AP team and oversee end-to-end procure-to-pay processes in a growing consumer brand environment in the Greater Houston area.

The ideal candidate brings strong AP expertise, solid accounting principles, and the ability to implement scalable processes while collaborating with Accounting, Purchasing, Operations, and Logistics partners.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; NetSuite is a plus.
• Experience with a full PO-based AP workflow; not just invoice entry.
• Exposure to import-related costs (freight, duty, customs brokerage) is a plus.
• Prior experience managing 1-2 direct reports while remaining hands-on.

Aufgaben

• Lead and strengthen the AP function with a small team; oversee end-to-end procure-to-pay processes.
• Establish consistent processes, resolve complex exceptions, and drive cross-functional accountability.
• Own vendor onboarding and enforce dual-control verification for changes to vendor banking details.
• Drive PO discipline and enforce PO-before-order practices; manage invoice approvals without a PO.
• Prepare weekly payment batches for review and ensure timely, accurate payments.
• Support month-end closing, reconcile AP aging to GL, and prepare unbilled liabilities.
