Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. in Little Rock, AR seeks an Analytics Engineer II to build analytics data products for reporting, regulatory submissions, and daily decisions.

The role centers on dbt models, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure SQL, with a hybrid work arrangement. You’ll design, test, and maintain governed datasets, implement tests and source freshness checks, document lineage, and collaborate with Data Analysts, business partners, and regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of analytics engineering or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dbt models to transform raw data into governed datasets.
• Develop and maintain dbt tests and source freshness checks per data quality SLAs.
• Optimize SQL transformations for performance and cost in Microsoft Fabric and Azure SQL.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure robust data ingestion and monitoring.
• Document data requirements, model lineage, and governance practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD and source control for dbt projects; support PR reviews.
• Mentor Analytics Engineer I peers through pair-programming and knowledge sharing.
