Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years in analytics engineering, data engineering, data analysis, or BI development.
• Hands-on dbt experience in production or near-production environments.
• Strong SQL skills and data governance / metadata management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dbt models transforming source data into analytics-ready datasets.
• Write and maintain dbt schema tests and source freshness checks to enforce data quality.
• Optimize SQL transformations for performance and cost within Fabric/Azure SQL.
• Gather requirements from analysts and stakeholders and translate into models.
• Document model purposes, definitions, and lineage on dbt docs, and mentor juniors.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows and source control practices for analytics projects.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on pipelines and data quality improvements.
