Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a data engineering professional to join the SHaPE Software Delivery team in the U.S. You will ingest, transform, and secure client data, build pipelines and data models, and collaborate with client teams to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

Travel up to 75% may be required as engagements demand. You will work in a cross-functional, agile environment, focusing on data quality, automation, and continuous improvement while supporting multiple client engagements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Business, or related field.
1+ years of professional experience across teams.
Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools; SQL with Databricks.
Python or PySpark experience is a plus.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Willingness to travel up to 75% as needed.
Strong written and verbal communication; collaboration across global teams.
Experience in data engineering, data intelligence, or analytics; data modeling knowledge.

Responsibilities

Ingest, transfer, and ensure data quality and security across data platforms.
Build and maintain data pipelines and structured data models for analytics use cases.
Collaborate with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to design analytics solutions.
Deliver scalable, high-quality analytics using a secure, proprietary data platform.
Contribute to asset development and drive automation and process improvements.
