Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a data engineering associate within the SHaPE Software Delivery team in the U.S. You will join a cross-functional, agile environment to support data ingestion, transformation, and modeling for healthcare analytics engagements.

The role emphasizes building scalable data pipelines, collaborating with client stakeholders, and delivering high-quality analytics products while ensuring data security and reliability. Travel up to 75% is expected depending on client needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Business, or related field; Master's degree a plus.
1+ years of cross-functional experience delivering high-quality outcomes; healthcare/tech exposure helps.
Proficient with SQL; experience with Databricks and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
Python and/or PySpark experience is a plus; ability to translate needs to technical solutions.
Rapid, clear communication and ability to work in agile, fast-paced settings.
Data engineering, data intelligence, analytics, and data modeling knowledge required.
Ability to travel up to 75% depending on client engagements.

Responsibilities

Support scalable analytics solutions on a secure, proprietary data platform.
Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal teams across geographies.
Ingest, transfer, and ensure high data quality, security, and reliability.
Build and maintain data pipelines and structured data models for analytics use cases.
