Job summary

Virginia’s Community College System is seeking an AI Strategy and Implementation Coordinator to lead system-wide AI initiatives. You will coordinate with colleges and governance bodies to advance AI use cases, policy, education, workforce integration, communications, and vendor coordination.

• Understanding of AI tools and applications in higher education.

• Ability to synthesize policy, technology, and implementation information into accessible guidance.
• Project tracking, data interpretation, progress reporting, and strategic communications management.

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as system-level coordinator for implementation of the VCCS AI Strategic Plan.
• Foster engagement across colleges and align initiatives with governance structures.
• Monitor progress, performance measures, and promote consistent implementation.
• Collaborate with IT, Teaching and Learning, Workforce, Student Support, Institutional Research, College AI Leads, and Communities of Practice.
