Job summary

Newmark is seeking a senior software architect to own and drive the technical architecture for cross-team, full-stack initiatives across front-end, back-end, and data layers.

You will design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-native web applications and distributed services, and lead agentic AI workflows within engineering and product systems. The role requires 12+ years in software engineering, deep distributed-systems expertise, and strong leadership across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field preferred.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience with full-stack architecture at scale.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Hands-on with agentic AI systems or LLM-driven apps.
• Proven track record leading large-scale initiatives across teams.
• DB design experience with SQL and NoSQL.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Mentoring and influencing teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive technical architecture across front-end, back-end, and data layers.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable web apps and distributed services.
• Architect and integrate agentic AI workflows into systems.
• Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Lead design reviews and guide multiple engineering teams.
• Translate business strategy into scalable technical roadmaps.
• Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers.
• Drive adoption of modern frameworks and AI tooling.
