Job summary

Newmark Group seeks a senior software architect to lead cross-team full-stack initiatives, spanning front-end, back-end, and data layers in a cloud-native environment.

Responsibilities include designing scalable web apps, integrating agentic AI workflows, and setting engineering standards. You will mentor engineers and drive modern framework adoption while guiding AI-driven product roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in software engineering with full-stack architecture at scale.
• Strong distributed systems, microservices, and API design (REST/GraphQL).
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and cloud-native patterns.
• Experience building or integrating agentic AI/Large Language Model systems.
• Demonstrated leadership on large technical initiatives and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the technical architecture for cross-team full-stack initiatives.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable web apps and distributed services in cloud-native environments.
• Architect and integrate agentic AI workflows into engineering and product systems.
• Set engineering standards for quality, design, testing, and deployment, including AI tooling.
• Lead design reviews and provide architectural guidance across teams.
• Translate business strategy into scalable technical roadmaps including AI capabilities.
• Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues across the stack.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers to raise the technical bar.
• Drive adoption of modern frameworks and agentic AI tooling to improve velocity and resilience.
• Stay aware of emerging technologies, especially agentic AI and automation.
