Job summary

The Hartford seeks a Solution Architect to transform the Employee Benefits tech ecosystem and modernize legacy platforms. This role focuses on AI-ready, cloud-first architectures, microservices, and APIs across multiple cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of solution architecture or senior engineering experience.
• Designing cloud-native solutions (AWS/GCP), APIs and integration patterns (REST/JSON).
• Hands-on GenAI/ML in production; familiarity with agentic architectures and LLMs.
• Expertise in digital identity/CIAM and modern auth (OIDC/OAuth2).
• Experience with SPA frameworks such as Angular/React.

Responsibilities

• Establish and drive solution designs aligned to reference architectures with AI focus.
• Translate strategy into end-to-end designs spanning APIs, microservices, SPA and AI.
• Produce option analyses balancing security, reliability, complexity, automation and cost.
• Design SaaS and native cloud architectures; modernize assets.
• Advance zero‑trust patterns; ensure alignment with security standards.
• Collaborate with value streams on roadmaps and program increments.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve outcomes.
• Align to architecture governance and conformance checks when warranted.
