Job summary

MAPFRE is hiring an Agentic AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents and agentic workflows for their Webster, MA (hybrid) and greater Boston operations. You will work at the intersection of AI, software engineering, and insurance, leveraging Python, LangGraph, AWS, FastAPI, LLMs, and agentic frameworks to deliver scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate will own end-to-end solutions, prototype to production, and help set AI best practices across the organization while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CS/engineering or related field with 5+ years of software/ML/data experience (7+ years for Bachelors).
• 2+ years building LLM-based apps, including at least one production agentic system.
• Strong Python development and software engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI agents and multi-step agentic workflows.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Build and evaluate LLM-powered applications and autonomous agent systems.
• Deploy cloud-native AI solutions using AWS, containers, and CI/CD.
• Implement monitoring, governance, and security controls for production AI systems.
