Job summary

Mapfre is seeking an Agentic AI Engineer to design and deploy production-grade AI agents transforming underwriting and claims workflows. You’ll own end-to-end solutions, from prototypes to scalable systems, operating at the intersection of AI, software engineering, and insurance.

Ideal candidates have strong Python skills and hands-on experience with LLM-based, agentic systems in production, preferably in regulated industries.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering with Python and AI systems experience.
• Experience building production-grade LLM-driven agents and workflows.
• Familiarity with insurance or regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI agents and multi-step workflows for insurance processes.
• Translate designs into reliable agents with considerations of feasibility and cost.
• Develop backend services with API contracts and secure auth.
• Define success metrics, build test data, and drive improvements.
• Implement guardrails, observability, and governance aligned with regulations.
• Prototype and scale solutions using cloud, containers, and CI/CD.
