Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to support data marts, financial data analyses, and decision support for actuarial data systems. You will assist with data extractions, monthly refreshes, and QA to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role involves working on data definitions, SQL logic, and business rules, with opportunities to contribute across multiple projects. A hybrid in-person/remote work model is offered with strong growth in health analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; 3+ years in related fields; in lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with healthcare data analytics and financial data systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with SQL data marts, data extracts, and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, design and testing of data sets for actuarial data marts.
• Support monthly data refreshes, validations and QA to back financial reporting.
• Develop decision support solutions including medical and pharmacy claim data builds and reports.
• Provide data support across data definitions, SQL code structure, and business rules.
• Perform unit testing with sample data to validate SQL logic.
• Document system/technical specifications to ensure solutions meet needs.
