National Interstate Insurance Company in Richfield, OH, is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our growing analytics team on a hybrid schedule. The role combines modeling, data analysis, and communication of results.

You will develop actuarial models to support risk assessment and pricing, prepare clear reports, and collaborate with underwriting, finance, and product development to drive informed business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 months actuarial experience; has passed 1+ exams toward ACAS.
• Works on assignments of low to moderate technical complexity with strong analytical skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain actuarial models to support risk assessment and pricing.
• Analyze datasets to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
• Prepare clear actuarial reports with a focus on accuracy and effective communication.
• Assist with presentations of actuarial concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and product development teams to provide actuarial support.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and build foundational actuarial knowledge.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and stay updated with industry standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and support implementation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
