Job summary

NIIC National Interstate Insurance Company in Richfield, OH is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our team on a hybrid schedule. The role supports risk assessment, pricing, and regulatory compliance, collaborating across underwriting, finance, and product development.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Actuarial Science or related field, has at least 6 months actuarial experience and has started ACAS exams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• Generally, a minimum of 6 months of actuarial experience.
• Has passed 1 or more exams toward Associateship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS).
• Works on assignments of low to moderate technical complexity and variety.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and maintaining actuarial models to support risk assessment and pricing strategies.
• Analyzes datasets to identify trends and provide preliminary insights to support decision-making.
• Prepares clear and concise actuarial reports, focusing on accuracy and effective communication.
• Assists with presentations of actuarial concepts and results to non-technical audiences, collaborating with senior team members.
• Collaborates with underwriting, finance, and product development teams to provide actuarial support.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
