National Interstate Insurance Company is seeking an entry-level Actuarial Analyst for its Richfield, OH area. The role emphasizes learning actuarial techniques, getting acquainted with company operations, and updating pricing and reserving analyses as you grow.

You will prepare for the first actuarial exam and may be encouraged to pass at least one exam while developing skills in Excel and actuarial software within a structured graduate program.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Field of Study: Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Generally, 0 to 6 months of related experience.
• Prepare to sit for 1st Actuarial Exam.
• Preferred at least 1 exam to be passed.

Responsibilities

• Learns various actuarial techniques and procedures.
• Becomes familiar with company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies.
• Updates data in established pricing and reserving analyses.
• Becomes familiar with basic statistical techniques.
• Improves upon basic knowledge in Excel and introduced to programming and other actuarial software.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
