Job summary

NIIC National Interstate Insurance Company in Richfield, OH, is hiring an Actuarial Analyst to support pricing and risk assessment with hybrid on-site schedule. You will work with senior actuaries and cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable insights.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a relevant field and at least 6 months of actuarial experience, with progress toward ACAS, strong analytical skills, and collaborative communication.

Qualifications

Core in office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs. **Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities*** Assists in developing and maintaining actuarial models to support risk assessment and pricing strategies.* Analyzes datasets to identify trends and provide preliminary insights to support decision-making.* Prepares clear and concise actuarial reports, focusing on accuracy and effective communication.* Assists with presentations of actuarial concepts and results to non-technical audiences, collaborating with senior team members.* Collaborates with underwriting, finance, and product development teams to provide actuarial support.* Participates in cross-functional projects and contributes foundational actuarial knowledge.* Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards while learning key frameworks and practices.* May identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementing changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Job Requirements****Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.**Experience:** Generally, a minimum of 6 months of actuarial experience. Has passed 1 or more exams toward Associateship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS).**Scope of Job/Qualifications:** Works on assignments of low to moderate technical complexity and variety.
