Job summary

Experitec Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in a hybrid Chesterfield, MO setting. This role manages full-cycle AP, processes supplier invoices, and ensures timely payments while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

You will collaborate with sales, purchasing, and operations to support accurate financial controls, month-end close, and process improvements. This is a hands-on, employee-owned environment emphasizing accuracy and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Accounting/Finance/Business Admin.
• Five+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience processing PO and non-PO invoices.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of prepaid expenses and accrual accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume PO and non-PO supplier invoices accurately and timely.
• Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation.
• Manage AP mailbox activities and invoice workflow queues.
• Process supplier credits and other vendor transactions.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier inquiries.
• Process new supplier setup requests and supplier maintenance changes.
• Prepare weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wires).
• Reconcile supplier statements and monitor aged payables.
• Support month-end close activities and external audits.
• Identify opportunities for AP workflow improvements.
