Job summary

The University of Minnesota in Minneapolis is seeking a functional supervisor for Accounting professionals in the Finance Operations Center. This role supervises and assigns work, guides on moderately complex financial and technical issues, and serves as the primary liaison to Resource Responsibility Centers in the portfolio.

The position is hybrid (three days in the office) with anticipated start October 5, 2026.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree plus at least four years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal eight years.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Financials is preferred.
• Knowledge of University financial policies is preferred.
• Ability to use data to make comparisons, perform verifications and compile reports.
• 2 years supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervising (60%) of accounting professionals responsible for journal entry and payroll accounting functions.
• Assist with employment-related matters including hiring, coaching, development, and staff training.
• Collaborate with Accounting Manager to ensure service level expectations are met.
• Provide an inclusive work environment and equitable service.
