Job summary

ghd North America is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate reporting, and drive a timely month-end close. The role partners with Shared Service Centers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes to support growth.

The ideal candidate will have strong GAAP knowledge, 5+ years of experience, and a track record in internal controls and audit support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in consumer products/retail/manufacturing/distribution.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience supporting audits, internal controls, and compliance activities.
• Advanced Excel and experience with ERP/financial reporting systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring timely reporting.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end reporting.
• Support internal controls and accounting policies compliance.
• Review trade spend, deductions, accruals, and reserve provisions.
• Partner with Shared Service Centers to resolve issues and mitigate risk.
• Manage external and internal audit activities and remediation efforts.
• Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and governance.
• Guide the accounting team and promote collaboration across departments.
• Provide accounting support to Finance, Commercial, Operations, HR, IT, and Tax.
