Job summary

SunEnergy1 is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the full-cycle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close in a complex multi-entity environment. You will oversee a team of accountants, ensure timely, GAAP-compliant financial reporting, and provide guidance on technical accounting matters.

This hybrid role requires three days onsite in the Charlotte area office. You will partner with FP&A, Operations, Treasury, Tax, and executives to drive reporting accuracy, strengthen internal controls, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience incl. multi-entity environments.
• 3+ years direct people management experience.
• Experience owning full-cycle month-end close.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• NetSuite experience within the last year (required).
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities.
• Supervise and develop a team of accountants.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and close activities to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Collaborate with business leaders to support financial decision-making.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit readiness.
• Improve processes and controls; support system implementations.
