Job summary

Anthologic Inc. is seeking an Accounting Assistant in Des Moines, IA. This full-time role supports accounts payable/receivable, general ledger tasks, and month-end close activities with attention to accuracy and confidentiality.

You will process invoices, manage payments, and assist with reconciliations while maintaining compliant records and collaborating with internal teams. A strong accounting foundation and eagerness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting roles.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to follow written instructions
• Ability to quickly sort and organize data in excel
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
• Prior accounting experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the company

Responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Manage accounts payable by preparing and processing payments to vendors and suppliers in a timely manner.
• Handle accounts receivable tasks including invoicing customers, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
• Maintain and update general ledger entries and assist with account reconciliations
• Collaborate with team members to meet or exceed deadlines
• Support the finance team during month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
