Carl Hansen & Son is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support the US operations and assist the Accounting & HR Operations Specialist. The role focuses on accounts payable/receivable and collaboration with internal teams, customers, and vendors.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in finance or a related degree and familiarity with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or NetSuite. Hybrid work with a few days in Burlington, NJ is offered.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of finance, accounting, or bookkeeping experience OR relevant degree/certification.
• Experience with ERP such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and follow-up abilities.
• Hybrid schedule with at least 3 days in Burlington, NJ office.
• Willingness to travel to NYC as needed.

Responsabilités

• Act as liaison with the Denmark finance team for AP, AR, collections, and other tasks.
• Assist with vendor and customer account reconciliations and ERP transitions.
• Process and manage vendor invoices through the vendor platform.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with collections including payment reminders and statements.
• Support month-end closing: bank reconciliations, journal entries, and accrual postings.
• Maintain complete financial documentation and audit trails.
• Support general accounting and operational processes as needed.
