Job summary

MCI is seeking an Accounting Assistant - 3PC to join its Finance & Accounting team. The role focuses on 3PC accounting, transactions, and reconciliations, with strong Excel skills and attention to accuracy.

The position offers on-site training in the Dallas market followed by a Work-from-Home arrangement, with occasional on-site needs. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM CST, with flexibility for overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Accounting Assistant, Finance Assistant, Accounts Clerk or similar role.
• Experience with bank reconciliations or financial reconciliations.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong numerical skills and data-entry accuracy.
• Ability to identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Comfortable working with financial systems and learning new technology.
• Experience using Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting activities related to the 3PC function.
• Process, review and validate 3PC-related financial transactions.
• Complete and assist with bank and financial reconciliations.
• Review financial data and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify, investigate and elevate discrepancies, variances and transaction issues.
• Research and assist with resolving financial discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Enter, update and validate financial information within relevant systems.
• Use Microsoft Excel to organise, analyse and reconcile financial data.
• Provide accounting and administrative support to the wider Finance & Accounting team.
• Provide coverage and support for the Tolling accounting function when required.
• Meet established deadlines and maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management using Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
• Use AI-enabled tools to support research, efficiency and day-to-day productivity.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling financial and business information.
• Work additional hours when required, including occasional weekend support.
