Job description

MCI is a tech‑enabled business services company offering accounting support for a growing global organization. As a full‑time accountant, you will manage the company’s accounting operations, producing financial reports, maintaining accurate accounting records, and implementing controls and budgets to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation.
• Enter routine journal entries and bank transactions.
• Enter AP bills and credit card transactions as needed.
• Perform month‑end closing and reconciliation.
• Reconcile, investigate, correct, and adjust accounting information.
• Perform bank reconciliation.
• Support department peers as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 1‑2 years of accrual‑basis accounting experience, including accounts receivable, journal entries, month‑end closing and reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent proofreading and editing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, organized, able to prioritize, and work independently.
• Exceptional self‑motivation and direction.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Work Environment & Requirements

The role is performed in a professional office environment. Work is largely sedentary; sitting/standing for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset, operating office equipment, and occasionally moving objects up to 40 lb is required.

Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based. Must be willing to submit to a Level II background investigation and drug screening. Job offer contingent on investigation results.
