Aston Carter is seeking a Financial Data Analyst Accounting & Reporting Analytics in Irving, TX. This hybrid role blends accounting with advanced analytics to convert large financial data into insights, dashboards, and reports for leadership.

You'll automate data workflows, explain drivers behind trends, and drive process improvements in a stable finance organization with a contract-to-hire pathway.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting and financial reporting foundation (GL, journal entries, reconciliations).
• 2+ years of financial or accounting analytics experience.
• Experience with Alteryx and Tableau to build dashboards and automated reports.
• Proven KPI and dashboard development experience.
• Root-cause analysis to explain drivers behind financial results.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience in analytics.
• Hands-on accounting activities (journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR).
• Ability to explain complex findings to leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Transform large volumes of accounting and financial data into actionable insights for leadership.
• Build dashboards and reports with interactive visuals of key metrics and trends.
• Use Alteryx to prepare, automate datasets and workflows for reporting.
• Create visual dashboards to communicate findings to executives.
• Leverage ServiceNow data to support operational reporting and analytics.
• Document data sources, calculations, and processes for transparency.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with finance teams to improve processes and governance.
